Folder Management

Overview and Purpose

Folder Management allows users to explore files related to Transact operation or batch class design. You’ll be granted permission to access the SharedFolders root or a batch class directory depending on your permissions. It has the following listed features:

  • Administrators can natively moderate Transact’s folder structure without RDP or SSH.
  • Administrators can download the final output of batch instances or other files for review. Files can be added, modified, or deleted for Search classification, testing, and script functions related to a batch class.

Note: As of 2020.1.06, users will not be able to view backup XML files.

Folder Selection Widget

This drop-down shows all the folders available for selection. By default, the first element from the drop-down is selected.

The options appearing in the list of available folders depend on the role assigned to the user who has logged in:

  • Super Administrators: The SharedFolders option appears in the drop-down list. Additionally, all batch class folders present in the shared folders will appear in the dropdown.
  • Administrators: Only the Batch class folders (from the shared folder) appear in the list that the user has permission to access.

Folder Management Tree

The following tree displays all directories of the folder selected from the dropdown. Users can click on the node to expand and select a subfolder as well.

  2. Up: Allows a user to go one level up in the folder structure.
  3. Refresh: Refreshes the content of the folder currently selected in the folder tree.

Upload Files

You can upload files by either dragging and dropping them or by selecting them via the Browse option. Files are uploaded to the currently selected folder. After selecting the files, upload progress along with the file name displays in a grid with a screen mask.

After the files are uploaded successfully, the bottom panel is again changed to the drag and drop view.

Note: Starting with 2020.1.02, Ephesoft introduced new security measures for uploading files from Folder Management. By default, uploading files from Folder Management is disabled. Refer to KB00020735 for steps to enable this action.
