Transact Linux Uninstallation Guide

Prerequisites

  • Ephesoft Transact is installed on the system.
  • In a multi-server installation scenario, unmount SharedFolders before proceeding with uninstallation.

Uninstallation Steps

Please follow the step by step uninstallation of Ephesoft on Linux operating system through command line installer:

  1. Run the uninstallation script using the command ./uninstall”. The script must be run as a superuser.

2. The uninstallation script will identify whether the Ephesoft server is already running or not. User has an option to forcefully stop the server. It is always recommended to stop the server before proceeding with the uninstallation.

3. Selecting “y” option will forcefully stop the Ephesoft server. After that, it will uninstall the Ephesoft application from the system completely.

4. Then the script will be uninstalling the SharedFolders. You have an option “y” or “n” for uninstalling SharedFolders.

5. Once Ephesoft SharedFolders is uninstalled successfully, the uninstallation script will start uninstalling the dependent software’s which were being installed at the time of installation. First, it will ask for the uninstallation for Imagemagick. Selecting “y” option will uninstall the Imagemagick from the system as shown in the below screenshot:

6. The uninstallation script will then ask for the uninstallation of GhostScript. Selecting “y” option will uninstall the GhostScript from the system as shown in the below screenshot:

7. The uninstallation script will then ask for uninstalling the MariaDB/MySQL database installed on the system. Selecting “y” option will uninstall the MariaDB/MySQL database installed on the system and disable the firewall setting for tomcat port number as shown in the below screenshot:

8. After successful uninstallation of MariaDB/MySQL database, uninstallation script will ask for the uninstallation of Libreoffice from the system as shown in the below screenshot:

9. Selecting “y” option will remove the Libreoffice from the system. Uninstallation script will then ask for the uninstallation of Tesseract from the system as shown in the below screenshot:

10. While uninstalling Tesseract, Leptonica will also be uninstalled. Once Tesseract is uninstalled successfully, the script will then uninstall the Leptonica. Uninstallation script will then ask for the uninstallation of Nuance from the system as shown in the below screenshot:

11. While uninstalling Nuance, first POCO will be uninstalled as shown in the below screenshot:

12. Once POCO is uninstalled successfully, the script will then uninstall the Nuance from the system as shown in the below screenshot:

13. Ephesoft is successfully uninstalled on the machine as shown in the below screenshot:
