Importing and Exporting Document Types

This page describes how to import and export document types in Ephesoft Transact. These steps are intended for Transact administrators.

Introduction

Importing document types keeps all configurations and learned files from the original document type. This can be helpful for the following use cases:

  • When adding a common document type to a batch class.
  • When migrating Transact environments.
  • When testing and debugging document types in a test environment.

Exporting Document Types

This section describes how to export document types. Exported document types are saved as a ZIP file containing:

  • Page types (first page, middle page, and last page)
  • Regular expression (regex) patterns
  • Learned files

To export a document type, perform the following steps:

  1. From the Batch Class Management screen, select and open your batch class.
  2. Go to Document Types.
