Ephesoft WebUI, Active Directory, LDAP




You can run into an issue where you have an empty screen in the Batch Class Management page.

You are not able to see the Default Batch Classes such as:

BC1 – Mail-Import

BC2 – SearchablePDF

BC3 – GridComputing

Root Cause:

This can happen in 2 cases:

  1. After setting up LDAP/Active Directory
  2. During a New installation where the initial SQL scripts did not execute properly.


There could be 2 reasons why you cannot see the batch list in the Batch Instance Management.

1. There could be an issue where the user you logged in with does not have the superadmin privileges.

This is usually seen in the cases where the system is setup to use LDAP or Active Directory.

2. The Database tables were not created properly.

This can happen when you have issues during installation with the DB or the SQL user used to run Ephesoft does not have the proper permissions for the Ephesoft Databases.

Please make sure that all sql users used for the application have the correct permissions.

The Following instructions will show you the proper procedures for recreating the tables in the Ephesoft


a. Edit the file located in the Ephesoft Installation Directory\Application\WEB-INF\classes\META-INF\dcma-data-access directory.

You want to edit the following setting by setting it to true:


b. Edit the file located in the Ephesoft Installation Directory\Application\WEB-INF\classes\META-INF\dcma-workflows directory.

You want to edit the following setting by setting it to true:


c. Rename the following files by REMOVING the “-executed” part of their name.


The files are located in the Ephesoft Installation Directory\SharedFolders\database-update\
d. Restart Ephesoft
