Root Cause

The PDF file may be encrypted.

  1. Open the PDF file and view the security information (in Adobe Acrobat, go to File > Properties > Security).
  2. Under Document Security, look for the following message: “All contents of the document are encrypted and search engines cannot access the document’s metadata.”

Ephesoft cannot process these types of documents.
