Applies to: <\/strong>2019.2<\/p>\n Some users may need to encrypt the connection to a database from Ephesoft Transact. To do so, the jtds driver that Transact uses must be updated.<\/p>\n You will need to download the updated driver and extract the JAR file to a temporary location. The driver is available on the Ephesoft Customer Support<\/a> portal Downloads<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n Perform the following steps to encrypt the connection to a database.<\/p>\n The complete string should look something like this:<\/p>\n Enable SSL under SQL Server Configuration<\/strong> manager.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the Certificate<\/strong> tab, select a certificate.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If updating the connection from the Transact Connection Manager<\/strong>, configure the connection normally and add the following:<\/p>\n The complete string should look something like this:<\/p>\n After configurations are complete, restart the Transact server.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"parent":22092,"menu_order":10,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","template":"","doc_tag":[],"yoast_head":"\n<\/a>Prerequisites<\/h2>\n
