Integrating Ephesoft with Active Directory<\/strong><\/p>\n This article explains how to integrate Ephesoft with Active Directory and provides detailed description for each property used in order to successfully configure Ephesoft with AD.<\/p>\n In Ephesoft Transact, we basically have to focus on 3 properties files mentioned below:<\/p>\n What is required for configuring Ephesoft with Active Directory ?<\/strong><\/p>\n In order to successfully integrate Ephesoft with AD, it becomes essential to understand the directory structure first. If you do not have required information about your Active Directory, you will not able to configure the Ephesoft configuration files.<\/p>\n We expect the users to know at least the following details about their Active Directory:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sample directory structure to be used for configuring Active Directory<\/strong><\/p>\n In this section we will go through a sample directory structure which will help us to configure Ephesoft for integration with Active Directory.<\/p>\n After looking at the below AD structure we will understand the information required in order to configure Ephesoft with Active Directory.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n We now have all the required information in order to configure Active Directory.<\/p>\n Understanding Roles in Ephesoft<\/strong><\/p>\n In Ephesoft Transact, we distinguish the roles on the following basis:<\/p>\n Configuring Ephesoft Server.xml<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Configuring Ephesoft user-connectivity.properties<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Note: user.msactivedirectory_context_path and\u00a0user.msactivedirectory_group_search_filter can be used together as well to further limit the GROUPS<\/strong><\/p>\n Configuring Ephesoft application.properties<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Access Management on Ephesoft User Interface<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Configuring Active Directory:<\/strong><\/p>\n There are two support\u00a0methods that can be used to configure AD connection:<\/p>\n 1.
