This is the most basic method of verifying and validating users, which is done via the .xml file <strong>tomcat-users.xml<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How does default authentication work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Tomcat maintains a list of users and roles in the <strong>tomcat-users.xml <\/strong>file.
