This helps to boost the accuracy of extracted text and greatly reduce the effort required for extraction on all projects that include processing of electronically generated documents.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than being OCRed as images, the documents with EText layer are processed using a special mechanism, which helps to extract data directly. As per provided configuration, the EText support feature can be used:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AUTOMATICALLY<\/li>\n<li>ALWAYS<\/li>\n<li>NEVER<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This feature also allows to create the exported PDF artefact(s) from the original file rather than use an image with a text layer attached.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on EText support, refer to the following article:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/2019-1\/release-notes-2019-1\/etext-support-in-pdf\/\">EText Support &#8211; Leveraging Existing Text Layer in PDF Documents<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a id=\"post-28466-_Expedite_Export\"><\/a><a id=\"post-28466-_Toc536631094\"><\/a>Expedite Export<\/h2>\n<p>In this release, a new \u201cExpedite Export\u201d feature allows the user to essentially &#8220;split&#8221; the batch and push one or more valid documents through to the next stage of the workflow (typically Export) without waiting for all of the documents in the batch to get validated. This essentially allows operators to locate and push through specific documents that may need to be processed more quickly or to move them through the system more efficiently. Once the selected documents are split into a new batch instance the system pushes this new batch through to the next step of the workflow (typically Export).<\/p>\n<p>For more information on Expedite Export feature, refer to the following article:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/2019-1\/release-notes-2019-1\/expedite-export\/\">Expedite Export<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Feature Enhancements<\/h1>\n<h2><a id=\"post-28466-_Installer_Improvements\"><\/a><a id=\"post-28466-_Toc536631096\"><\/a>Installer Improvements<\/h2>\n<p>In this release, the Ephesoft Transact installer has been improved and updated:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The installer size has been reduced by 340 MB<\/li>\n<li>Some screens have been updated for easier setup<\/li>\n<li>Readme.txt file has been included in the installer frame<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information on Ephesoft Transact installer and installation of release 2019.1, refer to the following section on the Ephesoft Wiki:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/2019-1\/installing-upgrading\/\">Ephesoft Transact 2019.1 &gt; Installing and Upgrading<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Machine Learning for Invoices and Enhanced Machine Learning<\/h2>\n<p>In Ephesoft Transact v.2019.1, the approach to machine learning has been majorly revised. The new core machine learning helps to achieve better extraction accuracy as well as shorter \u201ctime to value\u201d. Based on a much more focused approach, the new mechanism has been created only for Invoice batch classes. The system now automatically identifies the document type, and then searches and finds configured key-value pairs.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the core machine learning, there is also the enhanced machine learning (EML), which can be used for any batch class. This mechanism allows the user to learn the data entered on the Validation screen.<\/p>\n<p>In the current implementation, the core machine learning functionality is provided only for the Invoice category and only for index fields. The enhancements accomplish multiple benefits for end user developers who need to leverage standardized XML DOM, XSD and the batch.xml file. Release 2019.1 enhances reliability, stability, and performance while providing simplification in operations.<\/p>\n<p>The visible and familiar methods for using reports in Ephesoft Transact have not changed, other than adding new menu option to a batch management screen.<\/p>\n<p>The internal data management or operational changes include these specific enhancements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced reports \/ Dashboard reports<\/li>\n<li>Data migration \/ calculation \/ cleanup jobs<\/li>\n<li>Database processes and functions<\/li>\n<li>Workflow and performance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information about reports in Ephesoft Transact 2019.1, refer to the following section on the Ephesoft Wiki:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/2019-1\/reporting\/\">Ephesoft Reporting<\/a><span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><em><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: A new feature document that describes Reporting enhancements in Release 2019.1 will soon be available.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a id=\"post-28466-_Ephesoft_Cloud_HyperExtender\"><\/a><a id=\"post-28466-_Toc536631100\"><\/a>Ephesoft Cloud HyperExtender Plugin (US only)<\/h2>\n<p>The Cloud HyperExtender Plugin is introduced in release 2019.1. For Transact customers open to cloud processing and who have extensive document processing needs, the new plugin leverages high-performance cloud image processing that can scale.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Cloud HyperExtender Plugin requires that batch class administrators first train certain plugins for the batch class or classes to be configured for cloud.<\/li>\n<li>Then the batch class administrator removes these plugins from the Transact workflow, and adds the CLOUD_HYPEREXTENDER_PLUGIN to the Folder Import module.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, the batch class administrator must configure additional Ephesoft cloud settings in the System Administration settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once these configurations are complete, Ephesoft Transact can leverage Ephesoft\u2019s cloud infrastructure to import and process documents using cloud computing resources for a significant increase in performance.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, refer to the following article:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Configuring the Ephesoft Cloud HyperExtender Plugin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a id=\"post-28466-_Default_Index_Field\"><\/a><a id=\"post-28466-_Toc536631101\"><\/a>Default Index Field Value Plugin Improvements<\/h2>\n<p>The Default Index Field Value plugin now includes five new global batch class fields. They can be used to default any index field to the value of the configured system defined variable. For this purpose, a pop-up window is displayed once the batch scanning is completed and the Finish button is clicked on the Web Scanner screen. The scanning completion pop-up includes the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Batch Instance Id<\/li>\n<li>Batch Instance Name<\/li>\n<li>Batch Instance Description<\/li>\n<li>Batch Page Count<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The pop-up window also contains a cookie-based \u201cDon\u2019t ask me again\u201d option.
