The license is provided on a per-core basis. That means it is based on the amount of cores used to run the software, rather than the number of authorized users.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the full-page OCR on Ephesoft Transact servers was performed on the basis of an 8-core RecoStar license. If the server had 16 cores, the application could utilize only 8 cores for OCRing, and this was impacting the performance of the entire system.<\/p>\n<p>In Ephesoft Transact v.4.5.0.0, the RecoStar OCR engine allows utilization of 32 cores with an upgrade from 8-core to 32-core RecoStar license.
