This article provides an overview of how to restart a batch instance from a specific module. This option is limited by the batch state.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Overview<\/h2>\n

You can restart a batch instance from the Batch Instance Management <\/strong>screen. Select a batch instance and click Restart<\/strong> to choose in which module the batch instance will restart.<\/p>\n

Only batch instances in the following states are available to restart:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. RUNNING<\/li>\n
  2. ERROR<\/li>\n
  3. READY_FOR_REVIEW<\/li>\n
  4. READY_FOR_VALIDATION<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/a>Restart All Batches in Error State<\/h3>\n

    If you have multiple batch instances in an ERROR state, you may be able to restart them all at once if you are using SQL.<\/p>\n

    In your SQL client, run the following SQL query:<\/p>\n

    USE <db_name><\/em><\/strong>; UPDATE batch_instance SET batch_status = \u2018READY\u2019 WHERE batch_status like \u2018ERROR\u2019;<\/pre>\n
    This should cause the folder pickup service to restart processing the batch instances from the last execute module.<\/p>\n
    Important<\/strong>: This has not been tested for all cases. We recommend testing this on a single batch instance before running the query on all batch instances in an ERROR state.<\/p>\n
