{"id":31761,"date":"2015-11-25T18:04:08","date_gmt":"2015-11-26T02:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/2019-1-2\/release-notes-2019-1\/"},"modified":"2024-02-02T10:06:52","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T17:06:52","slug":"release-notes-2019-2","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/release-notes\/release-notes-2019-2\/","title":{"rendered":"2019.2"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609786\"><\/a>Introduction<\/h2>\n<p>This document introduces Ephesoft Transact 2019.2 and contains a short description of new features and enhancements to the Ephesoft Transact product as well as specific bug fixes and workarounds for potential issues.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609787\"><\/a>Installation and Licensing<\/h2>\n<h3><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc10468291\"><\/a><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609788\"><\/a>Licensing<\/h3>\n<p>If you are upgrading to Ephesoft Transact 2019.2 from a previous release, you may be required to obtain a new license file for your environment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Customers on the following versions do not require a new license when upgrading to Ephesoft Transact 2019.2:\n<ul>\n<li>Ephesoft Transact 4.5.0.0<\/li>\n<li>Ephesoft Transact 4.5.0.1<\/li>\n<li>Ephesoft Transact 4.5.0.2<\/li>\n<li>Ephesoft Transact 2019.1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Customers on Ephesoft Transact versions earlier than Ephesoft Transact 4.5.0.0 are required to obtain a new license file.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609789\"><\/a>Switch from Oracle JDK to OpenJDK<\/h3>\n<p>Oracle has announced a decision to require a commercial (chargeable) license to be entitled to receive updates to the Oracle JDK. While there is a low likelihood this would impact customers in the future, Ephesoft has taken the decision, for the long-term benefit of customers, to remove this dependency on the Oracle JDK.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of this decision, Ephesoft is switching from using the Oracle JDK in Ephesoft Transact to incorporating OpenJDK in the Transact installer. This switch will eliminate the Oracle JDK dependency and remove the potential requirement to purchase a separate chargeable JDK license from Oracle in the future.<\/p>\n<p>For all additional information, refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/announcements\/open-jdk-faq\/\">OpenJDK: Frequently Asked Questions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609790\"><\/a>MariaDB and MySQL Changes<\/h3>\n<p>Ephesoft Transact 2019.2 does not support MySQL databases.<\/p>\n<p>Ephesoft Transact 2019.2 no longer includes the option to install MariaDB as a part of the Transact installer package. The list of output formats has been expanded to include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CSV \u2014 comma separated value<\/li>\n<li>HL7 \u2014 Health Level-7<\/li>\n<li>HTML \u2014 Hypertext Markup Language<\/li>\n<li>JSON \u2014 JavaScript Object Notation<\/li>\n<li>TXT \u2014 text-only files<\/li>\n<li>XML \u2014 eXtensible Markup Language<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To configure and enable this feature, the Administrator browses to the <strong>Batch Class Management<\/strong> screen and opens the batch class. CUSTOM_EXPORT Plugin Configuration<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"post-31761-_Imprint_Feature_for\"><\/a><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609797\"><\/a>Imprint Feature for Web Scanner<\/h3>\n<p>Ephesoft Transact 2019.2 introduces a new Imprint feature within the web scanner functionality. This feature is developed to ensure compliance with EU regulations requiring the user to have a digital copy of any page before discarding or throwing it away. The imprinter is used to print a unique string on the page while saving the digital copy of the same string using the digital endorser.<\/p>\n<p>To implement the functionality, a new Imprinter Profile screen has been created. It is included in the list of batch class level configurations available for each batch class.<\/p>\n<p>The following options are available for the imprinter string:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Date:\n<ul>\n<li>Year: YYYY format<\/li>\n<li>Month: MM format<\/li>\n<li>Day: DD format<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>User Name: The user name of the user logged in to the Ephesoft server for scanning.<\/li>\n<li>Host Name: Hostname of the machine used for scanning the documents.<\/li>\n<li>Batch Counter: A unique counter maintained on the server level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-33906\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-155.png\" width=\"1104\" height=\"521\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-155.png 1343w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-155-300x142.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-155-768x363.png 768w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-155-1024x483.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1104px) 100vw, 1104px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #808080\">Figure 2. Imprinter Profile UI<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Note that this feature has been developed and tested only for Fujitsu scanner and imprinter (e.g. Fujitsu fi-7160 scanner and Fujitsu fi-718PR imprinter). Each scanning equipment producer has different hex-codes to access the various functions of their scanners and imprinters using EZTwain, so this feature might not work with other scanners.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609798\"><\/a>Feature Enhancements<\/h2>\n<h3><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc10468299\"><\/a><a id=\"post-31761-_Cloud_HyperExtender_Plugin\"><\/a><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609799\"><\/a>Cloud HyperExtender Plugin Improvements<\/h3>\n<p>Ephesoft Transact 2019.2 enhances the Ephesoft Cloud HyperExtender plugin with the following new functions and benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Ephesoft Cloud HyperExtender plugin supports the Bring Your Own Key (BYOK).<\/li>\n<li>Transact 2019.2 enhances the Sentinel library to include the CHEOCREncrypted feature.<\/li>\n<li>The CLOUD_HYPEREXTENDER plugin in Ephesoft Transact 2019.2 also tracks the page count when the customer uses an encryption key with BYOK.<\/li>\n<li>This release enhances security for the multitenant user interface. Transact 2019.2 complies with BlackDuck security auditing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc10468300\"><\/a><a id=\"post-31761-_Machine_Learning_Improvements\"><\/a><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609800\"><\/a>Machine Learning Improvements<\/h3>\n<p>Machine learning functionality in Ephesoft Transact 2019.2 has been improved.<\/p>\n<h4><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609801\"><\/a>Language Support<\/h4>\n<p>Italian has been added to the list of supported languages.<\/p>\n<h4><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609802\"><\/a>Web Services<\/h4>\n<p>Two new web services have been created:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\/rest\/mlExtraction for machine learning for invoices<\/li>\n<li>\/rest\/emlExtractionForBatchClass for enhanced machine learning extraction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Machine learning support has been re-introduced for the following web services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\/dcma\/rest\/OcrClassifyExtractSearchablePDF<\/li>\n<li>\/dcma\/rest\/initiateOcrClassifyExtract<\/li>\n<li>\/dcma\/rest\/ocrClassifyExtract<\/li>\n<li>\/dcma\/rest\/v2\/ocrClassifyExtract<\/li>\n<li>\/dcma\/rest\/v2\/ocrClassifyExtractBase64<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><a id=\"post-31761-_Toc12609803\"><\/a>Editing JSON Files in the Ephesoft Transact UI<\/h4>\n<p>JSON files containing enhanced machine learning data can now be edited from the Transact UI.
