{"id":31812,"date":"2018-03-21T15:20:47","date_gmt":"2018-03-21T23:20:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/2019-1-2\/moduleplugin-configuration\/extraction-module\/extraction-lim-improvements\/"},"modified":"2020-05-19T12:24:25","modified_gmt":"2020-05-19T19:24:25","slug":"extraction-lim-improvements","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/features-and-functions\/administrator\/moduleplugin-configuration\/extraction-module\/extraction-lim-improvements\/","title":{"rendered":"Extraction | LIM Improvements"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What\u2019s New In Transact 4.5?<\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<h1>Extraction | LIM Improvements<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Line Item Matching (LIM) is the feature that allows application users to match and verify the processed Invoices with their corresponding Purchase Orders on the Validation Screen.\u00a0For more information about the functionality, refer <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/line-item-matching\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In Ephesoft Transact v.4.5.0.0, the LIM feature has been improved in several ways (all improvements are described in detail below):<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Changes on the RV screen are automatically saved and reflected in the LIM view (no warning message is now shown to the user to save the data before proceeding)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; LIM UI has been updated:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The<strong> Save<\/strong> button has been removed<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> Update PO Table<\/strong> button has been changed to the <strong>Refresh<\/strong> button<\/li>\n<li>The columns in both PO and Invoice Tables can now be resized, and the new column width will be saved<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211; Document level fields can be configured so that LIM screen shows their name or description<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Copying mechanism from PO Table to Invoice Table has been improved<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Currency support has been updated<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The <strong>Default.properties<\/strong> file with LIM configuration details has been improved to become more intuitive<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Several known issues have been fixed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The issue where the first line appeared white instead of green, even when the data is matched<\/li>\n<li>The issue with incorrect images shown on the LIM screen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Automatic Saving of Changes (No Warning Message)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Previously, when the user made some changes on the Validation screen and clicked the <strong>LIM<\/strong> button, the pop-up warning message appeared. So, before moving to the LIM screen, the user had to confirm whether he wanted to save the changes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1438\" height=\"472\" class=\"wp-image-14153\" style=\"border: 2px solid #A9A9A9;padding: 1px;margin: 2px\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-54.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-54.png 1438w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-54-300x98.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-54-768x252.png 768w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-54-1024x336.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1438px) 100vw, 1438px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In Ephesoft Transact v.4.5.0.0, all changes done on the Validation screen are saved automatically. There is no pop-up message, the user is routed directly to the LIM screen. The defined width will be saved, i.e. when the user navigates to the LIM screen again, both tables will appear as previously configured.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Document Level Fields (DLFs) on the LIM Screen<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>In Ephesoft Transact v.4.5.0.0, the user can define whether to display the Index Fields by their name or their description on the LIM screen. For that, a new property (<strong>field.display_property<\/strong>) has been added to the <strong>application.properties<\/strong> file (&lt;Ephesoft Installation Directory&gt;ApplicationWEB-INFclassesMETA-INF):<\/p>\n<p><em>Set the field.display_property = 0 if you want to display the Index Field by description. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Set the field.display_property = 1 if you want to display the Index Field by name.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: It is recommended to restart the server after applying changes to the <strong>application.properties<\/strong> file.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s assume, the <strong>field.display_property<\/strong> is set as<strong> 0,<\/strong> i.e. the DLF description should be displayed on the LIM screen:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14156\" style=\"border: 2px solid #A9A9A9;padding: 1px;margin: 2px\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-57.png\" width=\"572\" height=\"143\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-57.png 784w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-57-300x75.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-57-768x191.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 572px) 100vw, 572px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The below illustration shows the Index Fields (Name and Description) created.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1269\" height=\"312\" class=\"wp-image-14157\" style=\"border: 2px solid #A9A9A9;padding: 1px;margin: 2px\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-58.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-58.png 1269w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-58-300x74.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-58-768x189.png 768w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-58-1024x252.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1269px) 100vw, 1269px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As per the configuration, the DLF description is displayed on the LIM screen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1477\" height=\"356\" class=\"wp-image-14158\" style=\"border: 2px solid #A9A9A9;padding: 1px;margin: 2px\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-59.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-59.png 1477w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-59-300x72.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-59-768x185.png 768w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-59-1024x247.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1477px) 100vw, 1477px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Improved Copying Mechanism<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>On the LIM screen, the operator can copy the data from the PO table to the Invoice table using the <strong>Copy All \/ Copy Selected<\/strong> options.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1429\" height=\"500\" class=\"wp-image-14159\" style=\"border: 2px solid #A9A9A9;padding: 1px;margin: 2px\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-60.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-60.png 1429w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-60-300x105.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-60-768x269.png 768w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-60-1024x358.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1429px) 100vw, 1429px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Copy<\/strong> operation is governed by the MAPPING_CONFIG property in the LIM Default.properties file (SharedFolders&lt;Batch Class Id&gt;lim), e.g.:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14160\" style=\"border: 2px solid #A9A9A9;padding: 1px;margin: 2px\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-61.png\" width=\"571\" height=\"295\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-61.png 733w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-61-300x155.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 571px) 100vw, 571px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This property is used to map columns of the PO table and Invoice table for copying operation. For example, in accordance with above property, <strong>part_number<\/strong> column values of the PO table will be copied to the <strong>Part No<\/strong> column of the Invoice table.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, if any of the column mapping was not specified in property file, for example, say the Invoice table contains a column \u201cDiscount\u201d which is not mentioned in the the MAPPING_CONFIG property, then its value was left blank after performing the copying operation.<\/p>\n<p>In Ephesoft Transact v.4.5.0.0, the copying mechanism has been improved. Now, when copying an already matched row from the PO table to Invoice table, the values for all the columns will be retained, even if no mapping is defined for the same in the properties file.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if \u201cDiscount\u201d column is not defined in the properties file, but it contains a value in the Invoice row, then this value is retained after copying columns from the PO table.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Currency Support<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The FRACTION_SEPARATOR property in the Default.properties file, which is used to define fractional separators for various currencies, has been removed. Now the information about the currency is picked up from the locale properties as described below.<\/p>\n<p>The currency is selected for the table on the <strong>Tables<\/strong> screen from the Currency drop-down list:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1554\" height=\"532\" class=\"wp-image-14161\" style=\"border: 2px solid #A9A9A9;padding: 1px;margin: 2px\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-62.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-62.png 1554w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-62-300x103.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-62-768x263.png 768w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-62-1024x351.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1554px) 100vw, 1554px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once the currency has been specified, its fraction separator is fetched from the locale and is used while matching the fraction values of the table.<\/p>\n<p>If no currency is selected, the default separator is \u201c.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Changes in the Default.properties file<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The <strong>Default.properties<\/strong> file located in the LIM folder specific to each Batch Class (see SharedFolders&lt;Batch Class Id&gt;lim) has been made more intuitive. The following unwanted configurations have been removed:<\/p>\n<p><em>PO_NUMBER = po_number<br \/>\nDLF_TOTAL =Invoice Total<br \/>\nDLF_SUB_TOTAL =Sub Total<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Fixed issues<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Previously, in some cases, the first line number was not picked up, and the first table line was not highlighted by green, even when the data was matched.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1076\" height=\"291\" class=\"wp-image-14162\" style=\"border: 2px solid #A9A9A9;padding: 1px;margin: 2px\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-63.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-63.png 1076w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-63-300x81.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-63-768x208.png 768w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-63-1024x277.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1076px) 100vw, 1076px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This issue has been fixed in Ephesoft Transact v.4.5.0.0, and all lines, including the first one, are highlighted by green if matching is valid or by red if matching is invalid.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1430\" height=\"356\" class=\"wp-image-14163\" style=\"border: 2px solid #A9A9A9;padding: 1px;margin: 2px\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-64.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-64.png 1430w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-64-300x75.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-64-768x191.png 768w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/word-image-64-1024x255.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1430px) 100vw, 1430px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On the LIM screen, the user can use <strong>Image Preview<\/strong> option to see the original processed file. Earlier, in a number of cases, an incorrect image was shown, but as the user clicked Next (<strong>&gt;<\/strong>) and then Back (<strong>&lt;<\/strong>) arrow, the system showed the correct image.
