The Hidden <\/strong>feature allows you to hide any specific column or columns from the Validation<\/strong> screen. This option is available in the Additional Configurations<\/strong> dropdown list on the Table Columns<\/strong> screen. By default, this field is left unchecked so that all table columns will be visible on the Validation<\/strong> screen.<\/p>\n Once you mark any column as hidden:<\/p>\n If you choose to hide all columns, the Table View<\/strong> of the Validation<\/strong> screen will be disabled altogether and it will not be possible to define or apply any table validation rule.<\/p>\n At the same time, the values in hidden columns will be extracted and saved in the batch.xml file for the running batch along with all other values (path: EphesoftSharedFoldersfinal-drop-folder).<\/p>\n Configuring the Hidden table column feature<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Open or create a Batch Class.<\/p>\n 2. Create a Document Type<\/strong> and upload a Learn<\/strong> file.<\/p>\n 3. Go to the Extraction module and make sure that the Table Extraction<\/strong> plugin is added and enabled.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 4. In your Batch Class, configure the table for the Document Type by adding the table columns, creating table extraction rules, and, if required, table validation rules. For more information, refer to the Configuring Table Extraction<\/a> article.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 5. On the Table Columns<\/strong> screen, click in the Additional Configurations<\/strong> field against the required column and select Hidden<\/strong> from the dropdown list.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If this value is included in the table validation rule, you will see the confirmation message, \u201cSetting the column as hidden will remove the validation rule(s). Do you want to continue?\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If you confirm your choice, the column will be marked as hidden and the configured table validation rule will be deleted.<\/p>\n 6. Go to the Upload Batch<\/strong> screen, upload the file, select the batch, and click Start Batch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n 7. When the batch reaches the validation stage, open the Validation<\/strong> screen.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 8. Click Table<\/strong> to move on to the Table View<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The hidden column is not displayed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Note<\/strong>: If you make all available table columns hidden, the Table View<\/strong> on the Validation<\/strong> screen will be disabled.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The values from all columns (including hidden) are saved in the batch.xml file created for this batch and stored in the final-drop-folder.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"parent":31882,"menu_order":7,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","template":"","doc_tag":[12436],"yoast_head":"\n\n
