Here are some examples of document types:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contract<\/li>\n<li>Invoice<\/li>\n<li>Loan Estimate<\/li>\n<li>Application<\/li>\n<li>W9<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Document types contain classification training samples, which are used to teach Ephesoft Transact to recognize and automatically categorize documents into your configured document types. Create New Document Type<\/em><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Create a <strong>Name <\/strong>and <strong>Description <\/strong>for the new document type. Create a Name and Description<\/em><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Perform any additional configurations as desired, and click <strong>Apply<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: When a new document type is created, document type-specific folders are automatically created in the <strong>image-classification-sample <\/strong>and <strong>lucene-search-classification-sample <\/strong>folders, located in <strong>Folder Management<\/strong> &gt; <strong>SharedFolders <\/strong>&gt; <strong>[<em>your batch class<\/em>]<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"post-31909-_p7ijx7x00wz\"><\/a>Import Document Type<\/h2>\n<p>You can also import document types between batch classes or servers. This can be helpful if you have multiple batch classes with the same document type, or if you need to move to a new Ephesoft Transact environment.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Batch Class Management <\/strong>page and open your batch class.
