Operators use the Validate UI to verify that the content extracted from documents is accurate. Green indicates no action is needed, while red indicates an operator may need to add missing information or confirm that the data Transact extracted is correct.<\/p>\n<p>When processing multi-page documents, you can reorder the pages by opening the <strong>Document Page View Panel<\/strong>. Switch to Document Page View<\/em><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Then drag and reorder the pages as needed.<\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"post-47801-_tnsrj642rb1m\"><\/a>Middle Panel: Validate Extracted Data<\/h3>\n<p>The middle panel displays the index fields and data that Transact extracted from a document. These fields are configured by the administrator when setting up the batch class. This means that the field must be addressed by an operator before the document can be validated. Main Toolbar<\/em><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The middle panel also includes the main toolbar, which includes the following options:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr bgcolor=\"#1f3864\">\n<td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>Option<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>Description<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr bgcolor=\"#d9e2f3\">\n<td>Validate<\/td>\n<td>Validates the currently selected document and proceeds to the next document in the batch. Once the last document in the current batch is reviewed, it will automatically proceed to the next batch.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Next Batch<\/td>\n<td>Proceeds to the next batch. If no batches remain, you will be redirected to the <strong>Batch List <\/strong>page.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr bgcolor=\"#d9e2f3\">\n<td>Merge<\/td>\n<td>Used to merge two or more documents together. When selected, opens a drop-down with the documents in the batch, and the currently selected document highlighted.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Merge selected:<\/strong> Merges all documents selected in the left panel. Currently selected documents are highlighted grey in the left panel. Select multiple documents by holding <strong>Alt<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>DOC&lt;#&gt;: <\/strong>Merges the currently selected document with a chosen document from the drop-down.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Split<\/td>\n<td>Used to split a multipage document into two documents. This button is only enabled if your administrator has configured <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/features-and-functions\/administrator\/batch-class-management\/table-extraction\/\">table extraction<\/a> for the selected document type.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\"><strong>More<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr bgcolor=\"#d9e2f3\">\n<td>Function Key<\/td>\n<td>Under <strong>More <\/strong>&gt;<strong> Function Key<\/strong>, this sub-menu lists available function key scripts configured by your administrator. If none are available, this sub-menu will be disabled. Refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/features-and-functions\/administrator\/batch-class-management\/index-fields-4050\/function-keys\/\">Function Keys<\/a> for more information.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>External Application<\/td>\n<td>Under <strong>More <\/strong>&gt; <strong>External Application<\/strong>, this sub-menu lists external applications configured by your administrator. If none are available, this sub-menu will be disabled. documents could be due to image quality, OCR confidence, and validation rules.<\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"post-47801-_caxge09ry458\"><\/a>Image Quality<\/h3>\n<p>Transact cannot extract data from a document if the uploaded document is low resolution, or has artifacts on it like smudges or stains on the page. Therefore, you may need to confirm that extracted data is correct, or manually enter the information that Transact couldn&#8217;t extract.<\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"post-47801-_jqw7mg6h5d7t\"><\/a>OCR Confidence<\/h3>\n<p>You may need to validate a document if the OCR confidence is low. This means that the system was not confident in what was extracted. Your administrator sets the OCR confidence threshold for each index field.<\/p>\n<p>Transact will highlight any fields that need your attention. You will need to inspect the document and click the highlighted index field to confirm that the extracted data is correct, or enter any missing information.<\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"post-47801-_ovydga8h8cjt\"><\/a>Validation Rules<\/h3>\n<p>Your administrator may create validation rules for the extracted data. For example, they may configure the <strong>Date <\/strong>field to require a specific format, such as MM-DD-YYYY for Month-Day-Year. If it does not meet that criteria when extracted, it will be flagged for an operator to edit and will remain flagged until the pattern matches.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"post-47801-_6tlhc99ktypm\"><\/a>How to Validate Documents<\/h2>\n<p>This section describes how to validate documents in Transact.<\/p>\n<p>When validating documents in Transact, you will need to approve any fields that are highlighted in red.
