This information is intended for Transact administrators.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"post-48101-_qwvwht6harf9\"><\/a>Overview<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>License Consumption Report <\/strong>page (located under <strong>System Configuration<\/strong>) will be populated if you have purchased Transact on the consumption-based model.<\/p>\n<p>This page details information on your image consumption to date for Transact, as well as any paid add-ons. It also shows whether you have opted in to automatic consumption reporting.<\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"post-48101-_3znysh7\"><\/a>How Ephesoft Uses This Information<\/h3>\n<p>Ephesoft uses the information collected in your consumption report to audit your image consumption. Data submitted to Ephesoft headquarters contains no personally identifiable information and is limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>License ID<\/li>\n<li>Date and Time of Snapshot<\/li>\n<li>Image Consumption Count<\/li>\n<li>Overage Image Count<\/li>\n<li>Identification Image Consumption Count<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All collected data is used in accordance with our <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/privacy-policy\/\">Privacy Policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"post-48101-_y6dqhkstswnb\"><\/a>Consumption Reporting Methods<\/h2>\n<p>As part of the terms of your consumption-based license, you are required to submit a report of your consumption data to Ephesoft on a regular basis. There are two methods of reporting your consumption data:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Automatic Reporting<\/li>\n<li>Manual Reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>You can switch between automatic and manual reporting at any time. For steps, refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/configurations\/transact-property-file-reference-guide\/dcma-telemetry.properties\">dcma-telemetry.properties<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"post-48101-_ev3wbfnndasg\"><\/a>Automatic Reporting<\/h3>\n<p>Automatic reporting is enabled by default with a consumption-based license. This means that Transact will automatically report your consumption data to Ephesoft each day. By default, this report will be sent at 9:00 PM (according to your system time), however this schedule can be configured in the <strong>dcma-telemetry.properties <\/strong>file.<\/p>\n<p>To confirm if automatic reporting is enabled:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <em>[Ephesoft_Directory]<\/em>\\Application\\WEB-INF\\classes\\META-INF\\dcma-telemetry.<\/li>\n<li>Open the <strong>dcma-telemetry.properties <\/strong>file in a text editor.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm that the <strong>dcma.telemetry.auto.upload <\/strong>property is set to <strong>ON<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To disable automatic reporting, set the <strong>dcma.telemetry.auto.upload<\/strong> property to <strong>OFF <\/strong>and restart Transact. For more information, refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/configurations\/transact-property-file-reference-guide\/dcma-telemetry.properties\">dcma-telemetry.properties<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"post-48101-_9x262e3yt3lf\"><\/a>Manual Reporting<\/h3>\n<p>If automatic reporting is disabled, you will need to manually submit your consumption report each month. Refer to the section below for steps.<\/p>\n<h4><a id=\"post-48101-_2et92p0\"><\/a>How to Manually Submit Your Consumption Report<\/h4>\n<p>The following steps describe how to manually submit your consumption report to Ephesoft each month. This is required if you have opted out of automatic reporting. You will also need to perform these steps each time you are requesting a new consumption-based license.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <strong>System Configuration <\/strong>&gt; <strong>License Consumption Report<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the appropriate month from the <strong>Monthly consumption report <\/strong>dropdown.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Download<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Email<\/strong>. This will create a prepopulated email draft in your default email application.<\/li>\n<li>Attach the downloaded report and send it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>If you need to send this report from another computer for any reason, send the downloaded report to <a href=\"mailto:report@license.ephesoftcloud.com\">report@license.ephesoftcloud.com<\/a> with your account name in the subject line.<\/p>\n<h4><a id=\"post-48101-_1vvxfpoxgrjj\"><\/a>Deadlines<\/h4>\n<p>If you have opted for manually reporting, please submit your consumption report no later than 5 business days after the end of the calendar month.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"post-48101-_9941ay9j7kfq\"><\/a>Viewing the License Consumption Report<\/h2>\n<p>For both informational and troubleshooting purposes, you can access your consumption details at any time.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to Ephesoft Transact as an administrator.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>System Configuration <\/strong>&gt; <strong>License Consumption Report<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"937\" class=\"wp-image-48102\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/word-image.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/word-image.png 1920w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/word-image-300x146.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/word-image-1024x500.png 1024w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/word-image-768x375.png 768w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/word-image-1536x750.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Figure 1. License Consumption Report<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The following table describes how each of the licensing items is used within Transact.<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr bgcolor=\"#1f3864\">\n<td><span style=\"color: #ffffff\"><strong>Field<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n<td colspan=\"2\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff\"><strong>Description<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr bgcolor=\"#d9e2f3\">\n<td>Account Name<\/td>\n<td colspan=\"2\">Displays the name of the account, typically your company name.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Server Type<\/td>\n<td colspan=\"2\">Displays the server environment type. Possible server types are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Production<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Non-Production<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr bgcolor=\"#d9e2f3\">\n<td>Sales Model<\/td>\n<td colspan=\"2\">Displays the type of license sales model. Possible sales models are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Core<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Consumption<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>License Version<\/td>\n<td colspan=\"2\">Displays the license version based on the license generation tool.
