This information is intended for Transact administrators.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"post-48335-_ch6y51d0xnnq\"><\/a>Overview<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Connection Manager <\/strong>is located under <strong>System Configuration<\/strong>\u00a0and provides administrators with a way to connect their database to Transact. This is used to support the <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/features-and-functions\/administrator\/moduleplugin-configuration\/extraction-module\/fuzzy-db-extraction\/\">Fuzzy DB Lookup<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/features-and-functions\/administrator\/moduleplugin-configuration\/export-module\/db-export-configuration\/\">DB Export<\/a> options. By default this is port 1433.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Host<\/td>\n<td>The host name of the database server.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr bgcolor=\"#d9e2f3\">\n<td>User Name<\/td>\n<td rowspan=\"2\">These fields are disabled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>When using <strong>MSSQL Windows Authentication<\/strong>, Transact will attempt to use the name of the user running the <strong>EphesoftTransact <\/strong>service to connect to the database.
