The Multipage Export plugin is a refactored version of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/features-and-functions\/administrator\/moduleplugin-configuration\/export-module\/create-multipage-files-plugin\/\">Create Multipage Files<\/a> plugin. It removes inefficiencies, leading to the following improvements and changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improved OCR quality<\/li>\n<li>Improved output PDF quality<\/li>\n<li>A larger selection of output file size options<\/li>\n<li>Reduced processing time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Prerequisites<\/h2>\n<p>To use the Multipage Export plugin, the following prerequisites must be in place:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will need to download the Multipage Export plugin from the Ephesoft <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.force.com\/s\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Customer Support Portal Downloads<\/a> page. Please review the <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/features-and-functions\/administrator\/moduleplugin-configuration\/export-module\/multipage-export-plugin\/#release-notes\">Release Notes<\/a> for details about the available plugin versions.<\/li>\n<li>You will need a batch class with a document type configured. For detailed steps, refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/features-and-functions\/administrator\/batch-class-management\/add-new-document\/\">Add New Document Type<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>You will need to remove the <strong>CREATE_MULTIPAGE_FILES<\/strong> plugin and its dependencies from the batch class. You can control plugin dependencies from <strong>System Configuration<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Workflow Management<\/strong>. Refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/configurations\/#workflow-management\">Workflow Management<\/a> for more information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a id=\"post-49853-_v3pumn4fm2ks\"><\/a>Deployment Overview<\/h2>\n<p>Here is a high-level overview of the steps to deploy the Multipage Export plugin:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Import the Multipage Export plugin to Transact.<\/li>\n<li>Add the plugin to your batch class.<\/li>\n<li>Restart Transact.<\/li>\n<li>Configure the plugin according to your workflow requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><a id=\"post-49853-_el6viojdwc3u\"><\/a>Importing the Plugin<\/h2>\n<p>For on-premises environments, you will need to import the plugin into Transact. Refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/developers\/custom-plugins\/improved-custom-plugin-import-mechanism\/\">Importing Custom Plugins<\/a> and follow the steps listed there.<\/p>\n<p>This plugin is automatically available in Transact Cloud environments.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"post-49853-_u5o611ajy5bi\"><\/a>Adding the Multipage Export Plugin<\/h2>\n<p>To add the Multipage Export plugin to your batch class, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>From the Batch Class Management page, select your batch class and click <strong>Open<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>Modules<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Export<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If you have not done so already, remove the CREATEMULTIPAGE_FILES plugin and its dependencies. Refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/features-and-functions\/administrator\/moduleplugin-configuration\/export-module\/beta-multipage-export-plugin\/#post-47893-_1fob9te\">Prerequisites <\/a>for steps.<\/li>\n<li>Add the MULTI_PAGE_EXPORT plugin from the <strong>Associated Plugins<\/strong> to the <strong>Selected Plugins<\/strong> column. This should be the first plugin in the <strong>Export<\/strong> module.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Deploy<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Restart Transact.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><a id=\"post-49853-_n8zd645yu247\"><\/a>Configuring the Multipage Export Plugin<\/h2>\n<p>Perform the following steps to configure the Multipage Export plugin.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In your batch class, go to Modules &gt; Export &gt; MULTI_PAGE_EXPORT.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"922\" height=\"256\" class=\"wp-image-49854\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/word-image-27.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/word-image-27.png 922w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/word-image-27-300x83.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/word-image-27-768x213.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 922px) 100vw, 922px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Figure 1. When installing a newer version of a custom plugin, you will need to remove the existing version and import the updated custom plugin.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Remove the existing plugin. Refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/developers\/custom-plugins\/remove-a-custom-plugin\/\">Removing Custom Plugins<\/a> for steps.<\/li>\n<li>Add the updated version of the plugin. Refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/developers\/custom-plugins\/improved-custom-plugin-import-mechanism\/\">Importing Custom Plugins<\/a> for steps.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><a id=\"post-49853-_wadbxnyxn907\"><\/a>Limitations<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>In a new batch class, the values manually configured in the MULTI_PAGE_EXPORT plugin for the previous batch class are displayed instead of default plugin configurations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"ak-ol\" data-indent-level=\"3\">\n<li>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"94\">Upgrading the plugin may result in duplicate .jar files in &lt;Ephesoft_Directory<em data-renderer-mark=\"true\">&gt;<\/em>\\SharedFolders\\customPluginJars. This may lead to unexpected results.
