Transact Generic Hotfixes are readily available minor releases that fix Transact bugs across all versions for all customers. The Ephesoft Engineering team aims to release Generic Hotfix Packs 4-6 weeks after a customer issue becomes a candidate for a generic hotfix. Customers will be able to download the Generic Hotfix Packs via the Customer Support Portal. Brief release notes for each hotfix are available under the tabbed sections below.

Hotfix Installation

Before installing any hotfix, thoroughly read the ReadMe.txt file contained in every hotfix pack. Make sure to follow the instructions in the ReadMe.txt file during the installation process. If you have difficulty installing hotfixes, please contact Ephesoft Technical Support through the Customer Support Portal.

Some hotfixes require database or SQL script changes. If so, then there will be two .zip files that you will need to download and install. One .zip file will contain content such as .jar files or third-party tools. The second .zip file will contain content needed for database or SQL script changes. The order in which you install the two .zip files does not matter. For example, if you have Hotfix-2022.1.00.002-Windows.zip and Hotfix-2022.1.00.002-common-Windows.zip, you can install them in any order.

Some hotfixes will also require you to install other hotfix packs in a sequential order first. For example, Hotfix-2020.1.03.004-Windows.zip would require 2020.1.03.001, 2020.1.03.002 and 2020.1.003. If this is the case, then you will see the instructions in the ReadMe.txt file telling you which hotfixes you need to install first. You do not need to install other hotfix packs in a sequential order first to resolve the Chromium 107 security update that blocks the Ephesoft Web Scanner Service from communicating with the Transact server.
