For more information on the plugin and its use, refer to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/products\/transact\/features-and-functions\/administrator\/moduleplugin-configuration\/folder-import-module\/import-multipage-files-plugin-4040\/\">Import Multipage Files Plugin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Important: <\/strong>The following parameters are only applicable when the <strong>Image Conversion Process <\/strong>is set to <strong>IMAGE_MAGICK<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"937\" class=\"wp-image-46780\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/word-image-3.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/word-image-3.png 1920w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/word-image-3-300x146.png 300w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/word-image-3-1024x500.png 1024w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/word-image-3-768x375.png 768w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/word-image-3-1536x750.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #333333\"><a id=\"post-10067-_ho45o4l2z0fu\" style=\"color: #333333\"><\/a>Compression <strong>Parameters<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">ImageMagick provides various compression parameters to compress an image, which varies depending on the quality and size of your original image file:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#post-10067-_2vv36vgrhmcx\">Uncompressed images<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#post-10067-_shyncwtu7fh6\">Compressed images<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#post-10067-_1g79u8ffsblx\">Good quality, single-page TIF files<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#post-10067-_b5i3h0t9ym69\">High-resolution images<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333\"><a id=\"post-10067-_2vv36vgrhmcx\" style=\"color: #333333\"><\/a><strong>Uncompressed<\/strong> i<strong>mages<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">Use a suitable ImageMagick compression parameter that will reduce the size of the image.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Colored images:<\/strong> \u201c-compress LZW\u201d or \u201c-compress JPEG\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Black and white images: <\/strong>\u201c-compress Group4\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333\"><a id=\"post-10067-_shyncwtu7fh6\" style=\"color: #333333\"><\/a>Compressed images<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">Use the same compression parameter that was previously used to compress the original image.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">For example, already compressed images with JPEG compression should use the \u201c-compress JPEG\u201d parameter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Note: <\/strong>This may increase the size of the image by a small delta, but will maintain the consistency in quality.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333\"><a id=\"post-10067-_1g79u8ffsblx\" style=\"color: #333333\"><\/a>Good quality, single-page TIF files<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">Use any of the following parameters to reduce the size of the image\u2014depending on your specific use case:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">\u201c-quality\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">\u201c-depth\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">\u201c-scale\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Note: <\/strong>In cases where compression is done with image depth, \u201c-depth 1\u201d can be used, which creates black and white images. This is faster than applying compression on black and white images using \u201c-compress Group4\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333\"><a id=\"post-10067-_b5i3h0t9ym69\" style=\"color: #333333\"><\/a>High-resolution images<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">If an image resolution is above a particular threshold, then it can be resized to the threshold resolution to reduce the file size and potentially speed up the OCR process.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">For more information on ImageMagick compression parameters, refer to the
