<\/a>Issue<\/span><\/h2>\n

When importing documents as new batches in Transact, certain Spanish characters may not display correctly. In particular, accents above letters may be converted to an incorrect character.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>Root Cause<\/span><\/h2>\n

This issue occurs due to missing UTF-8 file encoding.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>Solution<\/span><\/h2>\n

To resolve this issue, perform the following steps.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Go to [Ephesoft_Directory]<\/em>\\JavaAppServer\\bin.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Right-click EphesoftTransact.exe<\/strong> and select Run as Administrator<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Select the Java <\/strong>tab.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. In the Java Options<\/strong> field, add the following line at the end:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8<\/span><\/pre>\n

        1. Click Apply<\/strong> and then OK<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
