Issue<\/b><\/h2>\n

When accessing your Transact instance in a Chromium-based browser, you may receive a \u201cNull\u201d error message on any Reports screen (http:\/\/{<\/span>ephesoft.yourcompany<\/span><\/i>}\/dcma\/<\/span>Reports.html<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Root Cause<\/b><\/h2>\n

Recent browser security updates prevent cross-site cookies and tokens from being shared across one another.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your browser may be referencing two different URLs that do not conform to the updated security standard:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The primary DNS name for the Transact application server (this appears in your browser\u2019s address bar).<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. The secondary DNS name used to access Reports content.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Solution<\/b><\/h2>\n

    To resolve this issue, ensure you are accessing Transact through the browser using the public DNS name specified for the\u00a0<\/span>batch.base_http_url<\/code><\/span> entry in the <\/span>dcma-batch.properties<\/code><\/span> file.<\/span><\/p>\n

    For example:<\/span><\/p>\n

    batch.base_http_url=http\\:\/\/ephesoft.yourcompany.com\\:8080\/dcma\/dcma-batches<\/code><\/span>
    \n<\/span>
    \n<\/span>In this case, the browser set to access Reports with the URL <\/span>http:\/\/localhost\/<\/span><\/a> would produce a \u201cnull\u201d error. Accessing the same page with the URL <\/span>http:\/\/ephesoft.yourcompany.com<\/span><\/a>\/ resolves the issue.<\/span><\/p>\n
