After entering credentials, the upgrade may stop at this screen.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000\"><a id=\"post-49438-_1jtougactvn\" style=\"color: #000000\"><\/a>Solution<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Begin at<strong> Step 1<\/strong> if you are already performing an installation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Begin at <strong>Step 2<\/strong> if you have not started the installation; you can make the changes before beginning the upgrade process.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Follow the steps below:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Within the Transact installer at the <em>SA password required to update the DB patch<\/em> screen, press the <strong>Back<\/strong> button until the <em>Apply database changes<\/em> screen is displayed (see <em>Figure 2<\/em>).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Picture1-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-49773\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Picture1-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"556\" height=\"431\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Picture1-2.jpg 684w, https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Picture1-2-300x232.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 556px) 100vw, 556px\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><em>Figure 1: The <\/em>SA password required to update the DB patch<em> screen.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-49440\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/02.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><em>Figure 2: The <\/em>Apply database changes<em> screen.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Open <strong>File Explorer<\/strong> and go to <em>C:\\[Ephesoft_Directory]\\Dependencies\\MsSQLSetup.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Create a copy of the <strong>mssql_db_config.bat<\/strong> file in the same directory.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Rename the copied file to <strong>ephesoft-local-mssql-setup.bat<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Open <strong>ephesoft-local-mssql-setup.bat <\/strong>in a text editor and ensure the specified username and password is a valid SQL authenticated database user with open permissions to make changes to the database.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-49441\" src=\"https:\/\/ephesoft.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/03.png\" width=\"884\" height=\"484\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><em>Figure 3: The location of the username and password in the <\/em><strong><em>ephesoft-local-mssql-setup.bat <\/em><\/strong><em>f<\/em><em>ile.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Return to the Transact installer and click <strong>Next <\/strong>to resume installation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The installer will detect <strong>ephesoft-local-mssql-setup.bat <\/strong>and proceed without the database authentication prompt.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Applies to: Transact 2020.1.03 and above.
