This is a known issue and has been resolved in Ephesoft Transact 3.1.2.9 and above.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Root Cause:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Batch instances may get stuck in the <\/span><b>RESTART_IN_PROGRESS<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> status due to back-end processes that do not allow Transact to complete the restart process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Solution:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To delete a batch that is stuck in the <\/span><b>RESTART_IN_PROGRESS <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">status, alter the record for the batch instance by running the following SQL command:<\/span><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">update batch_instance set batch_status=\u2019ERROR\u2019 where batch_status =\u2019RESTART_IN_PROGRESS\u2019;<\/span><\/pre>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Once the batch status has been changed,\u00a0 you can properly delete or restart the batch instance.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Issue: Batch instances are stuck in the RESTART_IN_PROGRESS status and do not restart.
