SaaS veteran to support growth as markets demand solutions to convert unstructured data into actionable information

Irvine, Calif. – January 30, 2018 – Ephesoft, Inc., the leading developer of machine learning-based document capture and analytics solutions, today announced that it has appointed Russ Hubbard as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). He will architect and build the company’s sales strategy and operations to meet the growing global demand for Ephesoft’s technology, which turns unstructured content into actionable information. Using patented supervised machine learning technology, Ephesoft gives organizations the power to drive decisions from what has historically been inaccessible, unstructured data. Organizations use Ephesoft to automate document-based business processes, improving accuracy, increasing productivity and reducing costs.

Hubbard’s hire comes amid a period of rapid growth for Ephesoft, which includes $15 million in Series A funding, several executive-level hires and this month’s opening of a new headquarters office in Irvine, Calif.

“Ephesoft’s platform, strategy, reach and stability combine to enable exponential growth, particularly as we meet worldwide demand for a real solution to the unstructured data problem by making capture and analytics affordable, practical and simple,” said Ike Kavas, CEO of Ephesoft. “Russ has a record of applying scalable channel models and enterprise-wide sales strategies on a global scale. I look forward to working with him to build on our strong organic growth.”

As CRO, Hubbard leads the global sales team and all aspects of revenue creation at Ephesoft. With 20 years of experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), software technology and content services, Hubbard will use his go-to-market experience to lead direct, channel, inside, OEM and pre-sales teams.

“I am incredibly enthusiastic about joining Ephesoft at this pivotal point in the company’s growth trajectory, and look forward to expanding our customer and partner-focused approach to our market opportunities,” said Hubbard. “Ephesoft has tremendous upside, having established itself as a leader in the smart document capture and analytics industry. With over 80 percent of data currently being unstructured, Ephesoft is actively involved in a large addressable market. Our ability to be customer-centric and generate value for them is both a pivotal part of our history and our future.”

Hubbard has a strong global background, with numerous overseas assignments including as Corporate Vice President in Japan for SafeNet. At Ephesoft, his focus will be on driving customer success and adoption worldwide, and ensuring that both customers and partners receive maximum value from the Ephesoft ecosystem and offerings. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Spanish Literature from Wake Forest University, and an MBA in International Management and Finance from Arizona State University.
