Ephesoft Transact Feeds Unity EDMS Providing Clinical Access to Records at Point of Care
Laguna Hills, CA., March 21, 2016 – Ephesoft Inc., creators of the industry-leading Smart Capture® advanced document capture platform, announced today that North Middlesex University Hospital (NMUH)—one of London’s busiest acute care facilities—has gone live with its implementation of Ephesoft Transact and Fortrus Unity. The integrated advanced capture solution is being deployed to scan all clinical records that will become part of the electronic patient record system that is already in place.
The digitization project began in NMUH’s Pediatrics Out Patient Department, enabling hospital users to access electronic patient records combined with patient attendance information. The program is part of the National Health Service (NHS) Trust-wide IT strategy to be fully digital by 2017. Ephesoft Transact will convert all of the hospitals clinical records into electronic format as well as accommodate any new paper documents that come from other medical providers.
