Ephesoft’s executive team consists of experienced, innovative and customer-focused leaders who are passionate about automation and productivity.
Heather Dilley oversees all facets of human capital related activities at Ephesoft, including employee relations, recruiting, benefits and compensation. She has over 20 years of diversified human resource experience, with her most recent experience serving as the Director of Human Resources at Conexant where she saw them through a successful sale to Synaptics. Prior to that, Heather was Vice President of Human Resources at both Local Corporation, an online search engine, and Greenwave Systems. She has also served in senior human resource roles at a number of technology and online companies including Paciolan, Rainbow Technologies, Canon, New Horizons Computer Learning Centers and HNC Software Insurance Solutions. Heather holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Management and a B.A. in Sociology from Chapman University, Orange.
Stephen Boals develops new strategies, opportunities and promotes Ephesoft. His experience in digital transformation and content management spans 15 years, where he has managed transformation projects for Microsoft, Freeport McMoRan and other Fortune 1000 companies, as well as the States of California and Louisiana. His broad background includes “Big 4” consulting with Ernst & Young, IT and security management, running an award-winning solutions group and various positions in sales management. He is a proud veteran and served as a Naval Flight Officer for 8.5 years.
Stephen graduated from the US Naval Academy with a BS in Ocean Engineering and holds an MBA from National University.
Following University James made use of his degree in Economics to start a successful career in banking, insurance and management consultancy. After a few years he realised he needed a more dynamic vocation and joined his friend from college in an IT distribution business as part of a new
sales team armed only with a phone and a prospect list of potential partners. Finding quick success and an affinity for sales James was soon building and managing sales teams, over the years for both major vendors and smaller start-ups. James has built and led EMEA sales teams across a number of IT sectors including storage and virtualisation, email archiving, security and predominantly document and workflow and process automation solutions, where his early consultancy career offers useful insight process improvement and workflow optimisation. James lives in the UK with his wife and four children enjoying the Yorkshire Dales for hiking and outdoor pursuits.
Doug Lee is responsible for leading revenue generating field operations worldwide. He is focused on accelerating the company’s next phase of growth and shareholder value. Doug is a customer-centric leader and will oversee Ephesoft’s efforts to become the market leader in the Content Driven Productivity space.
Doug brings over 20 years of senior sales leadership experience to the position, having led a variety of early stage VC funded companies and large corporations such as Computer Associates and Quest Software, through various stages of growth. He also served as an Operating Partner at Toba Capital and has a passion and reputation for building high performing teams that deliver exceptional results and customer value.
Doug has a B.S. in Marketing, from the University of Utah.
Stephen Lee runs Ephesoft’s sales organization in the Asia Pacific region. He has over 10 years’ experience managing enterprise clients, resellers and distributors across multiple industries, including banking, insurance, shipping, logistics and media, among others. He also has a wealth of knowledge consulting organizations around process optimization and how best to utilize technology solutions and wrap it around their unique business requirements specifically related to intelligent document capture and workflow solutions both on-premises and in the cloud. Stephen also has a background in the cyber security and marketing event technology spaces. Stephen is born and raised in Sydney, Australia and started his career there before moving to Singapore in 2010 where he has remained ever since. He earned his Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) with a major in marketing.
Sumita Mavros is the Senior Vice President of Customer Experience at Ephesoft where she leads the Customer Success, Customer Support, Professional Services, and Education/Documentation teams. Sumita brings over 19 years of high-impact customer operations and product leadership in Fortune 500 businesses and early stage startups within the Software, Electronics, Medical, Telecom, Education and Home Building industries. Sumita has a track record of strategizing and executing operational initiatives to improve customer experience and internal efficiencies. She leads Ephesoft’s CX organization with analytical rigor and a vision for her team to “fall in love with their customers.”
During her tenure at Time Warner Cable, Sumita led customer operations teams with noteworthy improvements, such as major reductions in churn and increased customer satisfaction by implementing AI-based technologies and targeted CX playbooks. She also built high-achieving CX teams from the ground-up at Sunstreet, the solar wing of Lennar. As Co-Founder of SaaS startup Lango and Founder of online learning academy TutorSquad, Sumita has an entrepreneurial passion for driving industry disruption and challenging the status quo to achieve growth. Her career began in Product Management at Canon where she cultivated teams to reach product-market fit for various Healthcare Devices and MFPs. Sumita has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from MIT with an MBA from MIT Sloan.
Lynn Tanattanawin is the Head of Corporate Strategy and is responsible for the strategic direction of Ephesoft, including target market segments, funding, M&A, IP strategy and other corporate growth initiatives. She travels frequently to learn about the industry and new technologies, anticipating trends and providing guidance on how to take advantage of market shifts. With a background in corporate development and scaling companies, Lynn sets high standards for operational rigor and execution. Her influence spans across the organization with her hands in every department, making sure the team runs in lockstep towards company goals.
Lynn hails from a global background, attending different international schools as her family moved from Chicago to Israel, Egypt, South Africa, Pakistan and Thailand. She ultimately returned to the United States and received her degree from Purdue University.
Naren Goel is responsible for leading the global finance organization for Ephesoft. He is focused on driving the company’s next phase of growth including international expansion in a metrics driven, structured and fiscally responsible manner as Ephesoft continues to lead worldwide adoption of supervised machine learning document capture and analytics. Naren is operationally-driven finance leader and will oversee multiple departments, business processes and systems.
He brings nearly 20 years of senior finance leadership experience to the position, having led a broad range of startups to large corporations such as VMWare through various stages of growth. Goel has a strong background as a financial executive for a number of enterprise software and cloud computing organizations, including an understanding of Software-as-a-Service-model. He has also earned an ACMA (Chartered Management Accountant) designation in the U.K.
Ike Kavas is the founder and CEO, with 20 years of document capture, document management, workflow and systems engineer experience. His focus is to guide, innovate and expand the company’s mission of turning the world’s unstructured content into actionable data.
His previous role was Chief Technology Officer at Ephesoft and he holds a patent on supervised machine learning for document classification and extraction. He achieved the CDIA+ certification and has been involved with hundreds of projects using products from EMC-Captiva, Kofax, Readsoft, TIS, OpenText, Microsoft and Xerox.
He is a serial entrepreneur with three ventures and successful exits. He has not only the technical background by implementing several multi-million dollar projects for Fortune 100 companies but also has solid sales/business experience as he has achieved repeated financial and operational goals in his career.
Ike earned his BS degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and studied Computer Architecture at Anatolia University.
Scott Whitlock is Ephesoft’s SVP of Worldwide Partner Sales and has over 20 years of experience in complex enterprise solution sales, partner ecosystem creation and acceleration, and defining global go-to-market strategies for SaaS companies. An entrepreneur at heart and in approach, Scott has refined and accelerated Enterprise and Partner sales at multi-billion dollar organizations such as WebEx, Cisco Systems, and Intrado. He has also helped build strategies for early-stage SaaS companies such as Bluejeans Network where he was an early creator of the company’s global channel sales strategy and that eventually sold to Verizon Business.
Kevin Harbauer is the Chief Technology Officer at Ephesoft and brings 20 years of diverse software development, management, operations and implementation experience. He has proven success building and leading high-performing product development and IT organizations. Similarly, he has helped organizations adopt innovative technologies and practices, including DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Software-as-a-Service, cloud-based, cybersecurity initiatives and data-driven operations.
Previously, as the CTO and CISO for Healthwise, he delivered measurable growth and advanced Healthwise’s mission by aligning product and technology strategies with the company’s corporate vision. In addition, he provided thought leadership around the development, presentation and implementation of the Healthcare interoperability standards and was an early adopter of cloud-based infrastructure in the healthcare sector. Prior to his time at Healthwise, Kevin was Director of QNXT development at QCSI and TriZetto, where he led a large development organization and was responsible for delivering industry-leading products to the health care payer market. Kevin achieved a BS in Computer and Information Science at the University of Maryland College Park, a MBA from University of Phoenix and completed an executive education program from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
