How to Configure Active Directory

Active Directory (AD) is a directory service that Microsoft developed for Windows domain networks and is included in most Windows Server operating systems as a set of processes and services.

Ephesoft can integrate with this Directory service in order to Authenticate and Authorize users as a way to control access to different aspects of the application like:

  • Login Access
  • Access to specific Batch Classes
  • Specific Batch Instances
  • Specific Pages in the WebUI

Configuring Active Directory:

There two support methods in which an active directory connection could be configured:

1. Using the Global Catalog Service Port (Recommended)

2. Using the default LDAP Service Port
